Elf Camo CC Cream, is it worth the hype?

I have seen the e.l.f Camo CC Cream all over Tik Tok with a lot of great reviews. People seem to loved it because of how full coverage it is and the skin loving ingredients that e.l.f put into this cream. I also saw some review of people who hates it because it was cakey, hard to blend, and hard to color match. Today I am going to give you my personal opinion about the product! Disclaimer: I did receive this as a complementary product in my Voxbox from Influenster who partnered with e.l.f..

My face before e.l.f’s Camo CC Cream

I use the product like a tinted moisturizer so I use a small amount and go all over my face and neck with a makeup brush, my hands, and beauty blender. My color is Light 210N and it is a great match for my skintone. It goes on my face very easy and blends like a dream. The product has not turned orange on me yet either. I love how the cream does not look heavy on my face and does not cake towards the end of the day. When the cream is on the face it does give a slight glow to the skin which gives a very natural look. It covers the redness on the apples of my cheeks to give an even tone on my skin. The first couple of times I used it, I found that it did not transfer but lately the product has been transferring on to my mask. It could be from sweating for wearing the mask. I think that the e.l.f Camo CC Cream is a dupe for the original It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC + Cream.

My face after applying e.l.f’s Camo CC Cream with no setting powder.

The product says it has niacinamide, spf 30, peptides, and collagen. I love that it has those ingredients though I could do without the collagen. Niacinamide will help to protect from environmental stressors, clam, and clear the skin. The spf 30 helps prevent sun damage and its anti-aging. Peptides are amino acids so they help the skin build the proteins like collagen it needs. The collagen is suppose to help with skin elasticity, hydration, strength and protect against wrinkles. But the collagen molecules are to big for the skin to be able absorb it so you are better off drinking a collagen supplement or eating foods that promote collagen production.

I have noticed though when my skin is extremely dry as it has been for the last week the cream did tend to cling on my dry spots and I do not know if its because of the setting powder used or if it was the actual product. So just beware if you have dry patches it may cling to them. Other than that I love the cc cream and will buy more when I finish my first one! So yes it is worth the hype!
